English and Non developed countries.....
English is an international language. Of course, who don't know that. But why it became international language?. Maybe the Imperialism policy of British. They ruled many country, many race Because of that people learned English, so that they can get job from them or for extra benefits.
You could be say that: how it possible? Just because they rule us, it became international language!!!
Almost everyone know about Brazil and Argentina, both are attach to each other. But their language is different, why? Because their ruler was different. Brazil ruled by Portuguese and Argentina ruled by Spanish.
Ruler not only effect our language but also effect our Mentality. What they do, it become decent for us. Like in Here if your wear "Lungi" instead of "Pant". You wouldn't get respect what you could get in Pant.
Though many years ago we got freedom from them, we could not get rid of slavery from our minds. Because of that English became very important to us. We think this is the key to development. We spend our money & valuable time just learn it. Other subjects never get attention like English.
Yeah, that's also true, There are many countries in the world who have not been ruled by the British but still they are obsessed with English. In this case some times Neighbor country and some times world's dominating country played a big role. I won't surprise if in near future most of the people try to learn Mandarin language..
I believe, They will become winner in the future, who will give importance to mathematics & science not ENGLISH. Here we can take China & Russia as an example. They reached the peak of success without gave importance to English. Yes, I know English is international language, Because of that we have made it compulsory subject from class(standard) 1 to 11.
But there is no need English medium schools. ((Even those who read in English medium schools, they don't have permission to speak in any language other than English in their own house.))
Why should we learn math/history/geography/civics in English?
Parents don't want to understand that Children can not learn quickly in another language as they can learn something in their mother tongue. There is no logic for the teaching of a second language other than the native language at the primary level. Even if force to do so, it will reduce child's memory, reduces the power of perception, does not increase possession over the word store, it also create obstacles in child development path.. Even UNESCO also emphasized that the primary education of children must be in mother tongue..
Believe it or not in few days, There will be no need to learn English because we are getting such technology what will translate our language in real time.
I always say, When others are progressing towards success, while we are wasting time in learning English...
I want to finish my writing by saying a Joke.
